Jakarta. State-owned telecommunications company Telkom Indonesia was recently named "Best Company to Work for in Asia 2018" by Business Media International. The award was accepted by Telkom’s human capital management director Herdy Harman in Jakarta on Friday (04/05).
The selection process began last year through employee surveys and presentations by each nominee to gauge how happy the employees were, how motivated and how proud they were to work for the company.
Survey results indicated that people were very happy to work for Telkom.
"This can be seen from the high assessment given to aspects of teamwork involvement, commitment to provide the best for customers and high motivation in career development," a Telkom representative said in a statement.
Herdy Harman explained that Telkom applied a recruitment strategy that favored young and modern individuals, and by encouraging proactivity in the company.
Telkom also motivated their employees by awarding scholarships to improve their skills and competencies.
"Various efforts are made so that Telkom employees have that global competitive edge and become future leaders with character. Among them are global talent programs, leadership development, coaching and mentoring, and fast track career programs," Herdy said.
